Manufacturing

Ensuring the efficiency of manufacturing processes is a significant challenge in the manufacturing industry. When it comes to human factors, it is necessary to model personnel behavior and implement optimizations to minimize downtime. Access to data identifying the location of an employee in a production area – both current and historical – is excellent input for optimization activities.

Location data can also be used to improve safety – for example, identifying an operator in the machine zone allows the machine to be started. Typical use cases for RTLS in manufacturing:

Healthcare

Monitoring of mobile medical devices, monitoring medical personnel (e.g. for quality assurance), monitoring patients, monitoring medical materials transportation (e.g. organs) between medical institutions, and optimizing processes for medical personnel.

Sport Industry

Identification of players during sparring matches will provide data for post-match analysis as training material, identification for visual purposes during indoor sport events. The system, as opposed to expensive dedicated solutions, can be implemented with little financial outlay. Access to training data can be available for virtually any indoor sports team.

Location data can also be used to improve safety – for example, identifying an operator in the machine zone allows the machine to be started. Typical use cases for RTLS in manufacturing:

Catering Industry

Determination exact consumer location for food delivery purposes inside of the under the roof venues (e.g. delivery of food in a sports hall to a specific location). The system provides a simple way to break up queues during breaks. Imagine a vending machine/kiosk that will issue a tag after you order. The customer takes the tag with them to their location. When the order is ready, the staff locates the tag with an accuracy of 10cm and delivers the order directly to the customer’s location.

Entertainment Industry

Identification of a person visiting a museum, art gallery, positioning for the purposes of automatic guides. Automating museum guides is already commonplace. Headset using RFID or beacons identifies the location and plays the content set for the location. With our system, you will gain localization accuracy on an unprecedented level and increase reliability. System users will no longer have to listen to the localization content from the floor above – and the museum will gain data on visitor movements to optimize exhibition quality.
